About FeisFinds
What is FeisFinds?
FeisFinds is a searchable marketplace dedicated to buying and selling second-hand Irish dance gear — including solo dresses, wigs, hard shoes, soft shoes, and accessories. Founded by Chelsea, a busy mom of four and Irish dance parent, FeisFinds was built to replace hours of scrolling through social media with a simple, organized search experience built specifically for our community.
Is FeisFinds only for Irish dance?
Yes — for now. FeisFinds is dedicated exclusively to the Irish dance community. We want to be the best possible resource for Irish dancers before expanding anywhere else. If you are looking for gear from other dance disciplines, stay tuned.
Is FeisFinds available internationally?
Yes. FeisFinds welcomes buyers and sellers from across the Irish dance world — the US, Ireland, the UK, Australia, Canada, and beyond. Listings are available to browse globally. Please note that international buyers are responsible for any customs duties or import fees that may apply in their country.
How is FeisFinds different from selling in a Facebook Group?
Facebook Groups are great for community but terrible for search. FeisFinds lets you filter by size, style, maker, condition, price, and location — so you find exactly what you are looking for without scrolling through hundreds of posts. Our listings are not lost in a Facebook feed. We also provide guidance for buyers and sellers regarding shipping, buying and selling safety, and buying items internationally.
Who runs FeisFinds?
FeisFinds was founded by Chelsea, a busy mom of four with three Irish dancers. It is a small, community-driven platform built by a dance parent for dance parents. We are not a large corporation — we are one of you.
Buying on FeisFinds
How do I find what I am looking for?
Use our search and filter tools to narrow listings by size, item type, maker, color, condition, price range, and seller location. You can browse all listings or search for something specific — like a size 2 Rutherfords or a particular wig color.
Can I message sellers?
Yes! You can message any seller directly through FeisFinds before and after purchase. You are also welcome to move conversations to other platforms but for buying and selling security, we highly recommend communicating on a platform like FeisFinds, Facebook messenger, or email to provide a written record in case there were ever an issue with your transaction.
What if I cannot find what I need?
Set up a size alert and we will notify you the moment something matching your search hits the market.
How do I know a dress will fit my dancer?
We highly recommend measuring your dancer multiple times. Ask the seller to post pictures of the dress they are selling with the measurement tape on the dress. Unless you and the seller agree, dance dresses are typically a final sale item.
What payment method should we use? We highly recommend Paypal Goods and Services. They handle currency conversion. They provide a level of buyer and seller security that other platforms like venmo or bank transfers do not. We recommed you carefully read their terms of service.
What shipping method should be used? That is location dependant. We have a shipping guidance document to help you make decisions about shipping. We highly recommend tracking and insurance on high value items.
Selling
How much does it cost to list or buy on FeisFinds?
Wigs, shoes, and other accessories are free to list on FeisFinds. Girls dresses and boys costumes cost $15 to list. However for a limited time, we are offering FREE dress and boys costume listings as we launch this new website.
What can I sell on FeisFinds?
You can list solo dresses, ceili dresses, wigs, hard shoes, soft shoes, accessories, headpieces, and practice wear. All items must be genuine Irish dance gear. FeisFinds reserves the right to remove listings that do not meet our community standards.
What photos do I need to include?
All photos must be unedited and accurately represent the item. At least one photo must show the item in its current condition. Stock photos or maker photos are not permitted as your sole listing image. If your item has any defects, stone loss, or damage, these must be clearly photographed and disclosed in your description. We recommend you show as many pictures as possible!
Should I purchase shipping insurance?
Shipping insurance is optional but strongly recommended, particularly for high-value items like solo dresses. FeisFinds is not liable for packages lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. If your item is not insured and is lost by the carrier, that financial risk is yours as the seller. Shipping insurance typically costs $3–8 for items valued between $500–$1,000 — a small price for significant peace of mind.
What payment method should we use? We recommend Paypal goods and services. They provide buyer and seller security. We recommed you carefully read their terms of service.

Payments and fees
What are FeisFinds' fees?
Listings for wigs, shoes, and other accessories is free. A small fee of $15 is charged for all dress and boys costume listings. However for a limited time, are are providing FREE listings for dresses and boys costumes as we launch our website.
Is my listing payment to FeisFinds secure?
Yes. FeisFinds processes all payments through Stripe, one of the world's leading payment platforms. FeisFinds never sees or stores your card details. All payment data is handled directly by Stripe in accordance with the highest security standards.
How should I handle payment with the buyer or seller?
We recommend PayPal goods and services. See our guide regarding selling and buying safety for further details.
Shipping
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times vary by location. Within the US, expect 3–5 days with USPS Priority Mail. Within the UK, 2–4 days with Royal Mail. From the UK or US to the other, typically 7–10 days with a tracked international service. To or from Australia, allow 10–20 days. These are estimates — actual delivery times may vary by carrier and customs processing.
Who is responsible for customs and import fees?
International buyers are typically responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, and associated fees applicable in their country. These costs are not included in the listing price. Please check your country's import regulations before purchasing from an overseas seller.
What if my package is lost in transit?
FeisFinds is not liable for packages lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. If your package is lost, your first step is to contact the carrier directly using your tracking number. This is why we strongly recommend sellers purchase shipping insurance, particularly on high-value items.
Your Account
Do I need an account to browse listings?
No — anyone can browse and search FeisFinds listings without an account. You only need to create an account when you want to contact a seller, make a purchase, or create a listing.
How do I create an account?
Click the sign up button and enter your name, email address, and a password.
How do I contact FeisFinds?
You can reach us at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com. We are a small team and aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
Security
Is FeisFinds a safe place to buy and sell?
FeisFinds is built with your security in mind. We partner with Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment platforms for the small listing fee. Your payment details are never seen or stored by FeisFinds. When paying a seller for and item, we encourage buyers and sellers to use their own judgment and take appropriate precautions — just as you would with any peer to peer transaction. We highly recommend asking the seller for additional pictures if appropiate and recommend having a video call with the seller for high value items.
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. FeisFinds takes your privacy seriously. We collect only the information necessary to operate the platform — such as your name, email address, and shipping details — and we do not sell your personal information to third parties. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is collected, used, and protected.
Is my payment information secure?
FeisFinds never sees, stores, or has access to your credit card or bank details. All payment information is entered directly into Stripe's secure system, which is PCI-DSS compliant — the highest standard of payment security in the industry. Think of it the same way you would paying through any major online retailer.
What if I think a listing is fraudulent?
If something feels wrong — prices that seem too good to be true, photos that look like stock images, a seller who is evasive about details — trust your instincts and do not proceed. You can report suspicious listings to FeisFinds at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com and we will investigate promptly. For protected listings, your payment is not released to the seller until delivery is confirmed, so you have a built-in safety net even if something goes wrong.
Can I trust sellers?
Payment to sellers involves no payment processing by FeisFinds and we cannot guarantee the behavior of individual sellers. We recommend checking a seller's profile history, asking for additional photos, and using a payment method that offers its own buyer protection — such as PayPal Goods and Services rather than PayPal Friends and Family or Venmo. FeisFinds community standards require honest listings and accurate photos, but ultimate responsibility for direct payment transactions rests with the buyer and seller.
As dance parents we all know that fraudulent dress listings are a real problem in our community. FeisFinds was built with this in mind — to give buyers and sellers a safer, more organized place to transact with greater peace of mind.
That said, good judgment always matters. Before purchasing through any listing — protected or standard — we encourage you to ask questions, request additional photos, and if something feels off, arrange a quick video call with the seller to confirm the dress is real and exactly as described. A legitimate seller will never hesitate to show you their item on camera.
We are all dance parents here. We built this for our community and we want every transaction to be a positive one.
Will FeisFinds ever ask for my password or payment details by email?
No — never. FeisFinds will never ask for your password, credit card number, or bank details via email or any other communication outside of the secure Stripe checkout. If you receive a message claiming to be from FeisFinds asking for this information, do not respond and report it to us immediately at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com.
Disputes and problems
What do I do if my package never arrives?
First check your tracking information — most delays are carrier-related and the package is still in transit. If tracking shows the package was delivered but you did not receive it, check with neighbors and your local post office. If tracking shows the package is genuinely lost in transit, contact FeisFinds at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com and we will do our best to help. However since all transactions on FeisFinds are arranged directly between buyer and seller, your primary recourse is with your payment provider. This is exactly why we recommend PayPal Goods and Services — it offers buyer protection for exactly this situation.
What do I do if the dress looks nothing like the photos?
This is one of the most common issues in Irish dance resale. If you receive an item that is significantly different from how it was described or photographed — the color is dramatically different, the style is not what was shown, or the dress belongs to a completely different maker than listed — contact the seller directly first and try to resolve it between yourselves. If the seller is unresponsive or unwilling to help, file a dispute through PayPal Goods and Services. You can also report the seller to FeisFinds at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com so we can review their listing and remove them from the platform if necessary.
What do I do if the dress has damage that was not disclosed?
All sellers on FeisFinds are required to disclose material defects, significant stone loss, tears, stains, or structural damage in their listing. If you receive a dress with undisclosed damage, contact the seller directly with photos clearly showing the issue. If you cannot reach a resolution with the seller, file a dispute through PayPal Goods and Services. Report the seller to FeisFinds at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com — sellers who misrepresent their items risk account suspension. Minor wear consistent with a secondhand item — light wear on shoes, a few loose threads, a small number of missing stones — does not typically qualify as undisclosed damage.
What if the dress does not fit?
Fit issues are the most nuanced area of Irish dance resale. FeisFinds requires sellers to list accurate measurements and buyers are responsible for carefully measuring their dancer before purchasing. If the seller listed accurate measurements and the dress simply does not fit your dancer, this is not grounds for a refund — fit responsibility rests with the buyer. If the seller listed measurements that are significantly incorrect — for example listing a chest of 28 inches when the actual dress measures 24 inches — this may qualify as misrepresentation. Contact the seller directly and if unresolved file a dispute through PayPal Goods and Services. When in doubt always ask the seller to measure the actual dress before purchasing rather than relying on a listed size alone.
What if the seller goes silent after I pay?
A silent seller after payment is a serious problem. Contact the seller through FeisFinds messaging first. If you receive no response, file a dispute with PayPal Goods and Services immediately — they offer buyer protection for exactly this scenario which is why we recommend it over PayPal Friends and Family or Venmo for all FeisFinds transactions. You can also report the seller to FeisFinds at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com so we can remove their listings and warn other buyers.
What if I receive the wrong item entirely?
If you receive an item that is clearly not what you ordered — for example you purchased a navy Gavin dress and received a green Elevation — contact the seller immediately with photos. If the seller does not resolve it promptly, file a dispute through PayPal Goods and Services. Report the situation to FeisFinds at contactFeisFinds@gmail.com as well so we can take action on the seller's account.
What if my dress arrives damaged from shipping?
Take photos immediately before removing the item from its packaging — the packaging itself may be evidence of carrier mishandling. Contact the shipping carrier to file a damage claim using your tracking number. If the seller purchased shipping insurance the claim is filed against that insurance. Contact the seller to let them know what happened. FeisFinds is not liable for shipping damage but we are happy to help guide you through the process if needed.
How does FeisFinds help if something goes wrong?
Because all transactions on FeisFinds are arranged directly between buyer and seller, FeisFinds is not a party to your transaction and cannot issue refunds or force resolutions. However we are here to help in a few important ways. We can contact sellers on your behalf if they are unresponsive. We can review listings and remove sellers who have misrepresented their items. We can suspend accounts of sellers who repeatedly cause problems. Your primary financial protection comes from using PayPal Goods and Services — please use it for every FeisFinds purchase.
